• I won’t lie to you and tell you these bars are healthy. They’re not. But they’re incredibly delicious and a great way to use leftovers you may have from roasting s’mores over a beach bonfire with friends on Saturday night. This recipe from epicurious was incredibly easy and used items I already had on hand. The only substitutions I made were dark chocolate for the milk and because we had roasted jumbo marshmallows (have you seen these? they’re incredible!) I sliced them into quarters and laid them on top. B and I each had one after letting them cool, they were delicious but we decided to pop the remaining bars into the freezer to harden more. This was the right choice! Not only were the bars more bar-like, but the cold with the toasted marshmallow was a great combination. A very quick and easy treat you can make with kids too.

This blog served as my day-to-day training record for the New York City Marathon with a little bit about how I have fun in the city. I finished my first marathon in 4:17:48 and had the time of my life. I also raised over $2000 for Camp Casey. Post marathon this blog will follow just some of my continued healthy endeavors and races and will provide me with a place to record great running articles, quotes or facts I read. Enjoy!
