• Sorry to have gotten a bit behind. I’ve been working extreme hours which has resulted in lots of meals at my desk and lots of standard workouts. I’ll try to post a few of note from the last few weeks.

One Saturday I decided to take my long run over to Brooklyn. B had told me Brooklyn Bridge Park was a great place to run, so I ran over the Brooklyn Bridge and found myself at another park at the base. After doing a lap there, I make my way down to the waterfront park. This was a really fun spot to run because there are several different paths, lots to explore. At various points on the hill you almost feel like you’re running through the wild, the flowers and grass are so simple and natural. To make sure I got my mileage in, I did several laps of the park, exploring all over, then ran south along the water until the road wasn’t very nice. It wasn’t until I was going back over the Manhattan bridge that I saw BK bridge park extended even further north than I had noticed! I hope to explore down there sometime soon.

(oh and I wanted to steal this woman’s dog)

This blog served as my day-to-day training record for the New York City Marathon with a little bit about how I have fun in the city. I finished my first marathon in 4:17:48 and had the time of my life. I also raised over $2000 for Camp Casey. Post marathon this blog will follow just some of my continued healthy endeavors and races and will provide me with a place to record great running articles, quotes or facts I read. Enjoy!
