• Today I spent some quality time on the bike to stretch out my legs after yesterday’s run. B recently gave me a Kindle and though I’m a lover of having books around my apartment, I cannot get over the ease of use. The screen reads almost exactly the same as a paperback, with no glare. I’ve found it to be the most useful when I can only use one hand (train, elliptical, ect) or when I want to lay sideways and read. The minutes flew by while I was reading on the bike and I couldn’t believe how easy the entire process was. I’m currently reading One Thousand White Women for book club and really enjoying it. I had started with the paperback, which was pretty large and bulky, but then had to return it to the library when it became overdue. As of now, you are unable to borrow e-books from the New York Public Library but within the next few months they should be making more books accessible. I’m really loving the new Kindle (thanks again B!) and can’t wait to devour more books like this.

This blog served as my day-to-day training record for the New York City Marathon with a little bit about how I have fun in the city. I finished my first marathon in 4:17:48 and had the time of my life. I also raised over $2000 for Camp Casey. Post marathon this blog will follow just some of my continued healthy endeavors and races and will provide me with a place to record great running articles, quotes or facts I read. Enjoy!
